Ayyyyyyy homies. Who else is doing cartwheels and somersaults around their office today in celebration that it’s Friday?
I’m log-rolling instead since I’m so exhausted and full from all the gloriousness that happened yesterday.
2.1 lunch break river run. I ended up running into my coworker who was vegging my the river, and since my legs were dead weight, I happily cut my run short and hung out with her for a bit.
I touched upon the fact that my boss got me into couponing the other day, and I just want to show you why yesterday was the best day of my entire life.
That would be 15 jars of the good stuff for $21.30. Which comes to $1.42 per jar. If I stashed all of this in my apartment, it’d be gone in 2-3 weeks. Gross, I know. Which is why I’m pawning off 4 jars to my Mom who’ll use it for herself and Kipperdudes. I’m going to keep the rest of the peanut butter in my bedroom at my parents that way I don’t see it all of the time and end up cuddling a jar in bed and eating it by the handful at 3 am.
So how’d I get the good deals? Well at Shaw’s, these were $3.99, or $2.49 for Shaw’s Rewards Members. Last Friday we bought coupons online for 12 cents per coupon, which were valued at $1. So, as a Rewards Member, I got $1 off of the $2.49 price, and also had overage from previous coupons used, and received an extra $1.20 off the total. This was practically like Christmas for me.
After bathing in my peanut butter success, I met Jenny at the tennis courts for a doubles match with 2 guys we met last week at tennis. It was so much fun, and one of the guys made up a version of the basketball game Horse. He called it “Tennis,” and you had to take turns hitting the ball, no matter how far away it was. If you lost that serve, you received a letter. At one point, Cutie #1 asked what they were at. They had T-E-N, so the pimpette that I am, said, “You’re a ten.” Jenny liked my moves haha. I think I made him blush. Mission accomplished.
After tennis, I headed back to a pumpkiny smelling apartment. Kris made desserts for Food Day at her work, and I was lucky enough to “test” them. A chocolate chip pumpkin muffin made so easily. A box of pumpkin bread mix, applesauce, and chocolate chips.
The muffin Allie originally handed to me didn’t have a lot of choc. chips in it, so I switched it out for this heavy baby. Look it dem choco chips!
Then, it was time for sweet. Kris bought Friendly’s Cotton Candy with pop rocks ice cream on Sunday, and apparently every day on Allie’s lunch, she comes home and eats it. Sends a picture to Kris, and laughs.
I questioned the taste of it, so Allie offered me a bite, and I fell in love. I loved how my mouth kept popping from it, and it literally tasted like cotton candy, my absolute favorite ball game treat.
Allie thought it’d be funny to make Kris mad. So she scooped us each a bowl of ice cream. She had me tag the 3 of us in the picture on Facebook and we waited for her reaction while we giggled like kids in the kitchen. She stormed in, took the jug, and ate it on the couch. It was glorious watching her reaction.
This morning, I wanted to sleep until 1 pm. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until tomorrow. I dragged my tired eyes and body to the gym, where I ran a surprisingly easy 3.5 miles before stretching for a bit. I failed at not snoozing this morning.
This is me in all of my 7:45 am glory.
I’m bringing sexy back.
Should we create a link up party where we all send in pictures of us modeling our towel turbys?
What’s your favorite kind of ice cream?
I don’t like ice cream. I prefer soft-serve vanilla with rainbow jimmies. They are not sprinkles, don’t even start with me. If an ice cream shop doesn’t have vanilla soft-serve, I will typically not get anything at all.
