Saturday was my last day on the Cape with the crew, and I made it last as long as possible. We went to bed at 5 am, and was up at 8 am, in order to get in a quick run before hitting the beach.
While the boys spent the morning golfing, Kate, Jaritza, Chels and I headed to the beach to have a girls day. Oh, and we had Ben too, since he felt the need to crash girls’ day.
We spent several hours having girl talk and playing in the water.
This was the part where I wanted to stop being Chelsey’s sister. She pulled me in for a nice picture, then continued to dunk me. She’s a little turd!
Kate and Viss were high school sweethearts and grew up together on the Cape, and since they now live in San Diego, we decided to join her family on the beach. Her nephew is THE cutest!
At this point, the entire week full of sun, drinking and late nights had caught up to us, so we spent a lot of the party either lying on the ground and watching/playing yard games.
Jay was out cold. 4 pm. His pose says it all.
Viss’ family is full-on Portuguese, and the entire party was full of their Portuguese friends, so you can guess that the food that everyone brought was unhealthy. There was one dish that called to me, and it was amazing.
The party was really just picking up around 8, which was around the time I left. I really didn’t want to leave that night, but I had a lot of catch-up work to do on Sunday, and I honestly didn’t want to waste my day sitting in traffic.
I love my friends and had the time of my life with them! I didn’t want the week to end and I’m looking forward to next 4th of July, which will bring the 2nd married couple to the group, my bro and Chels. Cannot wait!
