Hello & happy Tuesday! I had every good intention of having a blog post up yesterday recapping my weekend, but exhaustion hit and there was no way I could formulate a sentence. Truth be told, writing this Monday evening is a struggle, so if I’m short with my words, that’s why!
Friday night was relatively low key. I made a concoction of extra lean ground turkey, chickpeas, random assortment of celery and peppers, and crushed tomato. It reminded me of chili! Random but good, and now I have lunch or dinners for the first part of the week.
And then we were on the road heading to Massachusetts to throw a baby shower for my sister-in-law Chelsey. Chelsey’s best friend was kind enough to let us use her house, and gosh was it adorable! The next day we had another family party and my aunts were still talking about how much they loved the decor!
The start of the gift pile.
Guests were encouraged to use a book instead of a card, and because Ryan and I were obsessed with Arthur growing up, I had to get an Arthur book for my card. He texted me a picture of the book that night and said I made a good book selection!
Since the sex of the baby will be a surprise, we had all of the guests take a necklace in the color that they thought the baby would be. Clearly a lot of people think they’re having a boy!
Ryan couldn’t make the shower since he was back home in Nashville, so our family picture is missing him, but here is the Mommy to be!
It was a beautiful day to celebrate a beautiful Mom, and I cannot wait until this little peanut is born!
And on Sunday, to end a family-filled weekend, my Dad’s side celebrated Lucas’ 4th birthday! Beware of the sharks!
My Uncle Tim bought Lucas this awesome shark pool chair float. How cool is that?!
The rest of Sunday night was spent watching a Hallmark movie!
What did you do over the weekend?
