All I can say is thank the lord that I’m ALMOST done with this crazy nonsense of transferring hosts and moving posts, etc! The last week has been full of stress in regards to getting my transfer to go through and getting rid of that nasty “This website is under construction” page.
I was finally able to get the transfer and my posts back several minutes ago, and in the process, I lost my blog theme, so please bare with this puke nasty one for several days as I’m currently awaiting the preview of the first draft of my blog redesign! I’m so excited to see what Tasha has been working on all week and I’m more than excited to share the new look of the blog in the coming week (fingers crossed)!
It’s definitely been weird not being able to blog as much with the site down, and if you want to see what you missed, you can read the following:
This weekend was a fun one! On Saturday I started my morning off with a 4 mile run followed by a a total body workout that was full of lunges with overhead presses, burpees to pushups to overhead presses, and various plank exercises.
After a quick shower and a bowl of egg white oatmeal loaded up with sliced banana, PB2 and jam, I headed over to Starbucks for an afternoon coffee/tea date with Mike.
After spending an hour and a half catching up and talking about our goals for the future, I quickly went home to change and freshen up for date #2, this time with The Prospect! I was so excited to see him that it pretty much felt like Christmas morning. 🙂
We ended up walking across the street the The Farm for drinks, food and football. We started off with beers and the best bowl of spinach and artichoke dip I’ve ever had. The dip had big chunks of artichoke and a cheesy top, which was served with warm pita squares to make wraps with. I could have ordered another bowl for my meal, but after several beers and an adult milk chocolate, we decided we wanted something more substantial.
The Prospect and I really enjoy ordering 2 meals that both interest us so that we can share, and share we did!
We wanted something healthy and sinfully bad, so we went for Seasonal Salad, which featured sliced apples, sweetened cranberries, walnuts, bleu cheese and mesclun greens in a Gorgonzola dressing, along with the House Tips and fries, per my drunken request.
Both meals were absolutely amazing, but the fries and steak tips stole the show. After a depressing loss for the Broncos (love me some Peyton Manning!), we said goodbye to our new favorite bar tender and headed back to The Prospects apartment where we finished watching The Game, a movie that we started on New Year’s Eve.
I introduced The Prospect to the idea of dipping pretzels in peanut butter and had a little fun documenting the experience, mainly catching him mid chew while drunkenly declaring the pretzels were “awesome” and “so good.”
Anyways, it’s time for me to run to the gym quickly, but I’ll be back later with a Sunday post and maybe a better theme for the week!
Gosh I just missed all of you so freakin’ much!! xo
