If you need to know one thing about me, it’s that I absolutely adore Bradley Cooper. Not only is my hubs a beyond talented actor, he’s also majorly babealicious, so when my Mom asked if I wanted to go see Silver Linings Playbook yesterday, I couldn’t say no!
I didn’t know too much about Silver Linings Playbook going into the movie, aside from the brief summary, so I was extremely pleased when the movie turned out to be a lot better than I expected.
The fact that Bradley always wore a trash bag over his sweats every time he went running made me love him even more. I cannot stand when I used to see men at my old gym wearing trash bag like attire. There were several parts in the movie when I just wanted to tear
his shirt and pants that trash bag off of him.
If you haven’t seen SLP yet, I highly recommend that you go this week, you won’t be disappointed! And even if you don’t like it, well at least you get to stare at Bradley Cooper for 2 hours. You really can’t go wrong here people.
After the movie I
took care of several things on my computer browsed Pinterest, Facebook and blogs while enjoying pretzels dipped in peanut butter. Then I decided to stop being a sloth and got my ass off of the couch and ventured over to the gym for a 2 mile run and to work on my midget legs. Hello, bikini season is just around the corner and I want my legs to be ready for it. Plus, I can’t even take jackets or t-shirts off from my arm soreness so I really could only focus on legs today.
By the time I was showered, it was dinner time, and since I was craving something sweet, I went for my strawberry banana protein shake but thickened it up and enjoyed it as soft serve ice cream!
Strawberry Banana Protein Soft-Serve
- 8 oz vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1/2 of a frozen banana
- pinch of xantham gum – this thickens it up
- handful of mini ice cubs
- splash of water
I dumped everything into my blender and once it reached a thick consistency, I poured everything into a big bowl and poured a whopping amount of jimmies on top. I couldn’t even finish half of the bowl, but that’s probably because Failure to Launch was on TV and I couldn’t stop drooling over Bradley Cooper.
Seriously, 2 B.Cooper movies in one day?! Talk about being in heaven! 😉
When the movie finished at 8, I headed up to bed to start reading Safe Haven. My Mom’s friend bought her the book, and since my Mom wanted to read several of her new books first, she allowed me to tackle it first. We have plans to watch the movie together when it comes out in several weeks, and I really wanted to read the book first.
First off, holy crap this book is addicting! I didn’t want to put it down and contemplated pulling an all nighter just to finish it in one reading. Secondly, why did they have to put the sticker on sexy Josh Duhamel’s face. Rude.
This morning I woke up cursing my alarm, but took my time getting ready and obsessing over Ryan Sheckler’s Instagram account. The things I do before 6 am to put off runs. Surprisingly, I ran an awesome 4.3 mile run before getting in a little core work.
And I totally switched up my breakfast. Not really, but I did add 2 TBSP of raw oats to my strawberry protein shake and good lord did those oats make it extra sweet!
The shake was 10 times better, and it gave me an extra boost of carbs and fat in my morning breakfast.
This Monday is already amazing!
