You know what makes a fun Thursday? An 8 hour work meeting, that’s what!
I started my morning off great with a solid 4.1 mile run, but after that, it just went downhill.
Since I knew I’d be in a conference room all day long and wouldn’t be able to get my lunch time workout in, I made sure to dress comfy. Aka leggings, a sweater, scarf and boots.
I kicked my feet back and went into veg mode, and might have started to doze off when the room heated up to
200 80 degrees. Remember in middle/high school/college when you’d close your eyes and then wake up because your head snapped forward at 400 mph? Oh I had several of those moments.
We broke for a quick 20 minute lunch when our food was delivered, and let me tell ya, holy chicken overload! There’s a salad under there somewhere!
I polished off my salad in no time, and within minutes I was sporting a big food baby. Thank goodness for leggings!
The rest of my meeting consisted of doodling SOS signals, the beach, and practicing my name in cursive with celebrity last names. Yes, we did that in middle school. Yes, I was going crazy. And yes, Mrs. Allie Cooper sounded the best.
Back off ladies, he’s mine!
I was about to rip everyone’s heads off by the time 5 rolled around since I barely had any carbs, was stahhving and was overheating, so before I left work, I quickly microwaved a Quest Bar for the walk to my car. I had planned on taking Zumba at 5:30 but my grouchiness and hunger levels weren’t okay with that idea, so I planned on an at-home workout.
Before starting my workout, I quickly prepared veggies to be roasted, and while those bad boys were cooking, I hopped on the treadmill and switched off between incline speed walking and focusing on my shoulders and back.
And, since it’s National Peanut Butter Day, I enjoyed grapes dunked in PB2 for a post-workout/NPBD snack!
URGENT: GO EAT YOUR PEANUT BUTTER IF YOU HAVEN’T YET! And yes, shouty capitals were completely necessary.
Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday. I’ll celebrate that with another
five spoonful of peanut butter.
