Yesterday was full of amazing foods.
After a 3 mile morning run followed by weights, I downed a berry banana protein shake and a blackberry mugcake.
The mugcake was a little dry, but I actually preferred it that way. The bites with blackberries were my fav!
- 4 tbsp oats
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp plain greek yogurt or flavor of choice
- 1 Truvia or sweetener packet
- dash of cinnamon
- 8 frozen blackberries
Mix all the ingredient together in a sprayed mug, and microwave for 2 minutes. Easy, filling, and delish!
Between the shake, mugcake, and an apple, I was full until 1, when I broke for lunch. Shredded chicken with bbq sauce, peppers, and a sweet potato.
I had been busy with proposals and cleaning my new office, so this meal was more than welcomed.
I shortly left work for the day for a dentist appointment, and decided to just take the rest of the afternoon off. I jumped into the gym for a quick 30 minute workout, before meeting Lindsay for a sushi date.
Girl talk with Lindsay was perfect! After sushi, I walked next door to Ocean State Job Lot because I heard that they had really great deals, especially on Bob Mills products. I found so many great deals.
And a ginormous case of Pop Tarts… that were 2 times the size of my head.

Strawberry Frosted and S’Mores were my jam! I miss Pop Tarts so much! If I ever had a last meal in jail, I’d require a Tart of each.
After drooling over those Pop Tarts, I headed to my parents since they were on the way, and rounded them up for a walk. We ran into 2 sets of neighbors, so there was little walking and lots of talking, which was perfectly fine with me. I miss my neighbors so much! One of the things I miss about living at home. Lisa’s daughter is turning 3 and they’re having a big bouncy house and face painter next weekend, so I’m totally going to that. I have a wedding that night so I plan on going with a tiger and rainbows painted on my face.
I woke up happy that it was Friday, and got in the best 5 mile run I’ve had in a long, long time.
I made the mistake of wearing a dress on the windiest day, but luckily didn’t flash anyone. My boss made a surprised comment regarding the summer dress, and I had to inform her that I really just wasn’t in the mood to put pants on today. We all have those days, right?
Today’s eats have included the same protein shake and mugcake. Banana Cho (the best!), and this whopper salad full of pickles, tomatoes (from taco bowl night) and the last of the shredded bbq chicken.
Demolished it after the worst Body Pump class. We had a sub and he was a spazoid.
Any big Friday plans?
I’m plopping my butt on the couch after errands and laundry and hope to tackle the 27(!) episodes of HIMYM. I’m proud and not proud at how quickly I’m getting through these episodes. I believe on Sunday I was at 41?
