Happy Weekend! Is it me, or were the days extremely long, but the week flew by? I’m just so happy that Saturday is here.
Yesterday after signing off from the blog, I suited up for my first outdoor run of the year. I hadn’t run outside since around Halloween, so I was a little nervous to see how the first run would go.
The weather was cold, windy and biting. Snowflakes even appeared at several points.
I forgot the GPS watch I received for Christmas at my apartment back in New Hampshire, which super bummed me out(!), so I used my RunKeeper app on my phone while listening to Pandora. Somehow, with my phone 70% charged, it died .82 mile into my run, which was so odd. I went a little further to guesstimate an additional .20 miles, before turning around and heading back.
This was definitely a blessing in disguise because it was so cold and I was having a difficult time breathing. Damn asthma!
After my run, I completed several more hours of work before hanging out with Ryan and Chelsey and heading to the gym for a workout. I was getting antsy all day being inside so I was excited to get out.
Halfway into my workout I told Chelsey I was bored and not feeling it, so she had me follow her to a room in the gym.
The gym had a Crossfit type of room in the back, which felt more like a playground to me. I was SO excited to workout in here and I completely forgot that minutes ago I was wanting to leave.
I had the most fun playing with the ropes, and man those things sure are some workout! My gym has these ropes so I think I’ll definitely be incorporating these suckers into my future workouts.
Ry and Chels took turns on the TRX cables and I opted out after I sprawled out onto the ground after trying to lift myself.
We ended our workout by watching Ry play on the rings.
Damn, that boy is so much stronger than I thought he was! Seriously no idea how he does this.
After the gym, we hit the grocery store to pick up items for stuffed peppers, which we ate while laughing hysterically through Pitch Perfect. We had to almost beg Ryan to let us rent it, and kept telling him that’d he’d love it. Basically, girls are always right. 😉
Not sure what’s up for the day today. Ryan had an early racquetball match with 2 higher up Hershey guys that are vital for my brother to get a promotion. I’m watching Whitney, new fav show, while catching up on the blog and waiting for Chels to wake up. Really hoping we go to the gym so that I don’t have to run outside. Brrrrr, I’m high maintenance!
Tonight I get to go to Philly for the first time ever! I’m so excited for dinner and drinks with one of my friends!
I probably won’t be able to get back on here until Monday. I have an early morning tomorrow to make the 6 hour drive home. I’m going to the Kip Moore concert tomorrow evening with the roomies, so before that, I’ll have to squeeze in a run, which means the blog will have to take the back burner.
Hope you all have a fabulous rest of the weekend!
