Monday already, woof. I had a really great weekend, where I got a lot accomplished, and I’m really excited for this week. Nothing crazy planned, except hitting it hard at CrossFit, and working on some important things! I didn’t have a title for this post, so I asked my Dad to give me 2 adjectives, a verb, and a noun. This title was totally madlibbed.
Friday night was pretty relaxing. I met up with CrossFit Paul around 6:30 at the Imax movie theater in my town to see the 6:50 viewing of Captain America. We got to wear those dorky 3D glasses, which in my opinion, makes every movie 10X more fun! The movie was awesome! I don’t think I’ve seen the first movie, and I didn’t know what to expect from this, aside from the deliciousness of Chris Evans, but it really blew me away. I would see this one again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend it!
After the movie, I was wide awake until 11:30 pm, and woke up bright and early at 5:30, so I was pretty exhausted for CrossFit. We practiced one of the workouts for the competition (2 weeks away!), which wasn’t bad at all.
At 2, I was back at CrossFit, but this time, for Lauren’s baby shower. Baby Owen is arriving so soon!
Lauren is Coach Mat’s wife, who also owns the business with him and has her Level 1 CrossFit certification. Can I just say that she is THE cutest pregnant wife ever. She is ALL baby, and wore a beautiful blue maxi dress, that just upped her cuteness by 100.
Katie & Shawna. Katie and I CF together at 6:30 am, and I believe Shawna will be joining the Sunrise Crew (I hope, because they both push me to be better). Katie considers herself a Running on Peanut Butter blog groupie, so I think this picture will make her happy. Katie, I hope you tell everyone in your office that you are now a celebrity.
After the party, I was pretty much exhausted, so I headed home to work on some stuff, before taking Kip out for an evening walk. He had to stop and pee on every leaf and sniff every plant, so our 1.4 mile walk took about 40 minutes.
Evening walks are easily one of my favorite parts of spring and summer, and now that I’m back home in my favorite neighborhood, I plan on taking evening walks hopefully almost every evening. The sunsets are the best around this bend.
With 10.5 glorious hours of sleep, I was up at 7:30, and headed to the gym to get my run in. 8 am Sunday morning gym runs are my favorite. No one is there, and I get the entire row to myself. 3 miles completed. 1 warm-up, then 30 seconds regular and 30 second sprints for a total of 1.5 miles. Then a .5 mile cool down. Killer dudes.
Did you know these existed? Birthday cake M&Ms. I think life just got 10X more awesome. I had enough willpower not to buy these, but I see a Faleo day in my future.
Several hours meal prepping, blog work, and other awesomeness on the dreary, cold and rainy Sunday.
What’s your favorite M&M flavor?
Peanut butter M&Ms are obviously the best, followed by plain.
