Holy wowzers guy. Saturday I went to see Keith Urban with my parents and best friend/roomie, Allie, and it was hands down one of the best shows I’ve seen, and easily the best of Keith’s. From the set to his performance, it was perfect.
We arrived at the venue around 5, and tailgated for the next 2 hours. Nothing crazy, just talking and eating.
Dustin Lynch went on the stage at 7, and that’s when we left our car. We weren’t too interested in him, so we walked around, got drinks, picked up some souvenirs, and people watched.
My Dad is okay with my Mom kissing Keith. I’m not. He’s mine.
There were 3 of these blonde characters overall, and they were quite the pair. Country concerts bring out the best in people. I’m sure they are very nice men, but they desperately need to go on What Not To Wear.
We finally made it to our seats, and then it was time for Little Big Town to perform! They were so good, and so stinkin’ adorable!
Around 9:05, Keith came on, and a big sheet dropped over his backdrop to reveal an amazing backdrop of screens. I can’t really describe it, so instead, I’ll talk in pictures.
There is such a thing as not enough faces of Keith Urban. I want moreeee! That smile! Ahhhhh.
He went above and beyond and even had a camera on his guitar. Cool, huh?!
I am on a mission to get his guitarist to wife me up. Ermergherd! Keith let each band member do a quick solo, and since his guitarist also sings, he sang part of “Sex on Fire.” Double Emergherd. With his unbutton shirt and lovely face, I died right then and there.
He came out in a Boston shirt and now I love him even more.
And then something life changing happened. We had center seats in the middle of the venue, and there was a mini stage behind us. Well, he came out to perform about 3 or 4 songs up there, and what do you know, he walked right up our aisle.
I ran out to the aisle and not only did he grasp my hand, but I touched his back as he walked up haha. I honestly debated on grabbing his butt because he did say that we could get as rowdy as we wanted.
Sadly, I kept my hands to myself. 🙁
This is my favorite picture and my current phone wallpaper. Sighhhhh.
I’m not sure how I am still alive after this, but I refuse to wash my hand. My life is officially complete.
The show was awesome, and we didn’t get home until 2 am, but it was so worth it. I went to bed with a tight jaw and an awful headache from all of the singing. I cannot wait for my next concert in a few weeks! I have 3 lined up in September. Yessssss!!
Do you like Keith Urban? Who is your favorite country singer? Or are you anti-country?
If yes, I will fly out to your town and we can go to his show together. 🙂
