TGIF! I can’t decide if it’s been a long week, or a quick week, but I’m just happy that the weekend is just a handful of hours away. Not an incredibly lot has happened this week, and I’ve been pretty bad at taking pictures, but I’ll give you a quick week update along with some rambles! We’ll make this a High Low post!
My favorite breakfast is still going strong. Overnight oats with Teddie’s peanut butter on top. I look forward to this meal every single day!
Finding out that the Concord Co-Op has a hot and cold bar just like Whole Foods, but even better! The low was finding out that even though these root veggies were out of this world amazing, that they upset my stomach.
Spending Tuesday night with Lindze, Mike, Lucas, and Brinkley. No pictures were taken, but I needed this night really badly.
Tuesday was an incredibly bad day. I felt awful and defeated with my health issues, and that just made for a really upsetting day.
Finally getting an appointment with a Naturopathic specialist today to see what is causing this unexplained weight gain. It’s a 90 minute session and I just cannot wait to talk to the doctor about everything that’s been going on, my symptoms, and see what she thinks is the culprit. Knowing that I will have a plan of attack this afternoon is incredibly exciting.
I’m not sure if it was my visit with Mike, Lindze, & the kids, or what, but since waking up on Wednesday, I’ve felt amazing. That was also the day I found out I could get into the doctor’s office, so maybe family time and knowing that I was going to get some health questions answered relieved a lot of stress.
I’m finally back at the big girl gym and boy am I SORE! It’s one thing to workout at home, but the gym definitely brings out more intensity in me. I love seeing my friends again! 🙂 Speaking of, Brian sent this video to Ashley and I Thursday morning after a chat at the gym, and wow, it just rattled me. Such a powerful and inspiring message. For any females out there that think that maybe they aren’t enough, watch this.
The Bachelorette. LOVING this season. Rachel is the best, and I have settled in with my two favorite guys. I am really, really loving Peter and Dean, who totally reminds me of Jesse McCartney. How awesome was Peter’s date?! It gave me the chills! I clearly have a thing for men with light brown hair, ha!
Getting together for a shopping trip after work with Jenny who I haven’t seen in probably well over a year. It was so much fun to catch up with her, hear about her wedding planning, and just spend time with one another. I missed this girl!
And that’s about all that I have to share with you from the week. It was a rough start to the week, but the 2nd half has been amazing, and I am holding on to that feeling. After this post goes live, I have an appointment that I am truly looking forward to, and then I will be packing for a weekend in CT with my college girls!
What were some highs and lows from your week?
How are you spending your weekend?
