How many of you watched the Patriots get their cute booties handed to them last night?
I didn’t, that’s for sure. I’m not sure what it is about football, but I’m very picky when it comes to when I’ll sit down to watch a game. I have no issue watching a game at Allie & Kris’, or with Mark at a bar or his place, but when I’m home by myself, football is the last thing I want to watch before bed.
Instead, I cleaned my room and read my new strength magazines while I drooled over Matthew McConaughey’s cute booty in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Random fact: Matthew McConaughey is the #1 search term that brings the most visitors to my blog.
Mondays are usually a hit or miss with me, and today, it’s a complete hit! I woke up and completed a surprisingly great 4.3 mile run and worked on my core a little bit before enjoying my strawberry banana protein shake (shocker).
During the day I also came to the realization that I need to go to Almonds Anonymous. The almonds from BJ’s are out of this world fantastic (they taste like pistachios), and I found myself plowing through the bag as a pre-lunch time workout snack. Oopps. Sometimes you have to give in to temptation. 😉
Are there any foods that you guys can ‘t stop eating once you begin?
Mine are peanut butter, almonds, Tostitos, and Cheez-Its.
Speaking of my lunch time workout, holy crap do I have a workout for you! I snagged it from my Fitness RX magazine and thought it was going to be a piece of cake. Well, I went to the gym in a heather grey t-shirt and came back in a slate grey t-shirt with sore arms and shaky legs.
This workout is no joke! I completed Circuit B today, and the only variations I did were that I skipped the pull-ups, and only had time for 4 rounds instead of 5. I highly recommend this though!
After my workout, I enjoyed roasted veggies with a Strawberry Cheesecake Quest Bar. I ran out of my PB2 at work and sadly couldn’t spread it on the Quest Bar, but it was actually amazingly good without the extra peanut buttah on top.
Nothing too crazy is planned for the rest of the day. Allie, Kris and I are looking at another house this evening, and after that I’m thinking a date with my couch for a CSI:NY marathon. I think I’m 3 episodes behind. Such a bad fan girl!
