Eggs are also making a big appearance, and not just the boring ol’ egg whites.
I’m trying to get less of my fat intake from nut butters, and adding a variety of healthy fats. Whole eggs are doing the trick!
Yesterday I grabbed the wrong tupperware container before work, and ended up bringing lunch for breakfast. Aka tilapia, sweet potatoes, and asparagus. I live out of tupperware containers, so I supposed the switcheroo was bound to happen eventually. Fish at 9 am is actually pretty satisfying!
Another out of sync thing I did yesterday morning was bail on my run. I had a 4 mile run planned before work instead of CrossFit. I headed to the gym and got there at 5:45.
1 mile into my run I decided I didn’t like how I was feeling and that I had an insane craving for CrossFit and my peeps. Yes, I had withdrawals from the 6:30 crew. So, after 1 mile, I drove 6 minutes home, grabbed my CrossFit shoes, and made it to the box for 6:25. Perfect timing.
I then proceeded to have a chalk party, and decided on my drive to work that the workout switch was the best idea ever. We practiced double unders (jumping rope and having it pass under your feet twice in one hip-hop), for 5 minutes and I got zilch. I really have a hate-hate relationship with jump ropes. Anyone else always whip themselves with it?
Every morning before I go to Ad Finem for our WOD, I pop a few of the i heart keenwah almond bites for a little energy upon waking. So good!! This is definitely a product I’ll be buying in the future!
Work was insanely stressful, and I needed to release some of the negativity, so I headed out for a 1.4 mile run. We ran about .60 miles during our WOD, so my total for the day was 3 miles. I’ll take it.
Reason #312 why I’m single and completely okay with it. I can sleep in workout pants, PRO Compression socks, and Ryan’s oversized football shirt. I look like I’m ready for a game of football!
