Hey guys, and happy Wednesday! It’s hard to believe that it’s already hump day, and day 23 of the Whole 30 for me. I’ve been so busy that my meals are typically the same in structure, and I haven’t really had the time to experiment with fancy Whole 30 meals. Maybe soon I will, but for now, I’m really enjoying what I’ve been eating lately.
Typically either ground turkey & hash + mixed peppers.
Grilled chicken + sweet potato wedges + veggies.
My Dad is a grill master. Chicken, burger and asparagus. Best burger ever.
This was a completely random lunch that I threw together at midnight after the Keith Urban concert. I had barely any food, and this didn’t hold me over at all. I was so hangry, and it just proves how much meal prepping helps me in the long run.
This also occurred during those few days last week where I had 4% free time. Again, hungriness ensued.
Sunday night, Karey and I were texting about our progress with the Whole 30, discussing cravings, and our post Whole 30 plans. In regards to my cravings, they are an odd occurrence. I made scrambled eggs one night, and I really just wanted a sprinkling of mexican cheese and ketchup on them.
I don’t like warm avocado and don’t understand how people can stomach avocado mixed in with their eggs. I’m 5 and need to separate them.
Some days I don’t need a lot of snacks, and other days I’m all for them. Apples with nut butter or nuts are one of my go-to snacks around the 3/3:30 hour. It’s the perfect snack for in between lunch and dinner, and I never snack in between breakfast and lunch.
My favorite evening snack is easily carrots with almond butter. I accidentally bought crunchy almond butter in Florida, and I realized how addicting it is. Crunchy > creamy… for the time being.
I babysat Friday night, and brought a Larabar Coconut Cream Pie bar with me for an evening snack. I bought it in Florida, but never needed it, and when I saw Karey drool over it, I knew I needed it asap. Verdict: AMAZING. Holy crap, it was sooo delicious, and it’s Whole 30 approved. I won’t gravitate towards these bars often, but when I do, this one will be the winner.
Bars I will keep around all of the time are these RxBars. Holy crap guys. I brought one to each of the Keith Urban concerts I went to Thursday & Saturday, and these guys did an amazing job of keeping me satisfied, and they taste out of this world heavenly. So much better than Quest bars, and they are Whole 30 approved!
Best protein bar you’ve ever had?
I love Quest Bars, but the RxBar is my new favorite.
