It’s Friday which only means one thing. You better have your Friday pants on, because I sure do!
Last night I enjoyed a nice night out with a friend I “unofficially” met back in December. This was our first time getting together, mainly because I was sort of off the market, so it was nice to finally be able to “officially” meet! We settled into a booth at The Farm, where we enjoyed a nice meal and good conversation.
I didn’t whip out my camera for pictures of my meal since I really didn’t want to terrify him, but I ordered the house salad, which came with mesclun greens, amazingly juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, shredded carrots, and onions. I also ordered the salmon for a good omega-3 and protein kick!
And get this… instead of the typical bread basket before our meal, they give you 2 ginormous slices of cornbread! I was eying it the entire night and debated grabbing one bite, but before I could, the waitress took it away. Rude!! It looked SO good! I didn’t know they gave you cornbread, but I guess Mark and I never ate at a booth when we went so we’ve always been snubbed of cornbread. The horror!
After several hours, we parted ways and I went to pick up the essentials.
Almond milk and frozen strawbs for my shakes, apples because I officially eat 2 a day (since yesterday), and jimmies. At this rate, expect to see jimmies on my wedding cake. Funfetti wedding cake?! Would that be awesome, or would that be AWESOME?!
I lounged around for a bit before calling it a night and heading up to read more of Skinnydipping. I have about 40 pages left and it is so good!!
Today is going to be a busy but fun day! I was able to finally get a really great 4 miler in this morning, and unfortunately, I’m back to my previous running shoes. The Frees that I bought the other day have been giving me a bad blister under the bone of my big right toe, and after talking to a few girls, they all agreed that I needed to return them. Back to the running shoe shopping game. Ugh!
After my run, I had enough time to get several core moves in, so I played around with different variations of planks. Regular, side, knee to chest. I found some others in my magazine yesterday that incorporate planks with a stability ball, so that will be attempted this weekend (maybe)(probably not)(let’s not kid ourselves)(next week for sure).
I’ve turned into Johnny Appleseed. I’ve become so friggin’ addicted to apple slices dipped into powdered pb, that I now bring 2 apples to work. Mid-morning and late-afternoon snack.
I’ll be jetting out of work a few minutes early today to go sign our lease and get the keys! We can’t move in until the 15th but our landlord is letting us physically start moving our furniture in today! Luckily I’ll have a good 3 weeks to buy furniture and move in it, so I won’t have many boxes to pack.
After that, puppy sitting officially starts so I’ll be hanging with the pup for a little bit before this happens:
I’m not religious so that meat lovers half of the pizza BETTER be mine! Can’t wait to turn my Friday pants into my Lazy Pants. 😉
