Gluten-Free Oats, Real PB, Little Fresh Bluebs

Last night something absolutely amazing happened. I was konked out by 8:30 pm. It was glorious and much-needed. Thanks to 9 hours of sleep last night, I feel like the energizer bunny.

I left work yesterday as I had an obligation I had to attend to, and during that time, I believe I walked about a mile in high heels. Now to some girls, that’s nothing, but for me, I wear running shoes, not high heels. I was in so much pain that I wanted to log roll my way to the entrance.

Once I was free, around 4:15, I headed back to Manchester to take my Wednesday evening gym classes. Unfortunately I missed the Body Pump Express class, but I ended up being changed with 5 minutes to spare for the Kickboxing Express class.

It sucked, but I think that’s because the shoes I wore were incredibly painful and kept cramping up my feet. I debated leaving early several times because it hurt to complete any jumping move, which was 70% of the class. I sucked it up, and was so wiped out after the 30 minutes (coupled with little sleep this week), I left and didn’t stay for the regular Body Pump. Whatever. A mile in high-heels and kickboxing, that’s a good enough workout for me.

On my way home, I grabbed essentials at the grocery store. Salad, lemons, bananas, frozen strawbs, and milk.

I quickly showered and plopped myself on the couch for a lazy girl’s dinner. That’s where the milk was necessary.

Nothing better than a lazy night on the couch with 2 bowls of Puffins cereal with casein milk and HIMYM. My roomie told me she loved HIMYM and I told her that was a good thing because I had 34 episodes on DVR. We checked and it’s actually 30. FML. They need to stop playing 4 episodes a day! I am going to have to take a vacation day just to catch up.

PS, I figured by adding 1/2 scoop of vanilla casein to my cereal milk that I was eating a somewhat “okay” dinner.

And then I quickly passed out. When I woke up, I wasn’t in the mood for a run, but run I did. The air conditioner is conveniently broken at the gym, so I ran 3 miles in desert like heat before throwing in the towel and working my shoulders.

My breakfast this morning was better than yours. Since I finished up my jug of old-fashioned oats, I decided to try a gluten-free version. I’ve always wanted to try the GF oats, but at Shaw’s a bag is $12.99! So the other night when I came across the same bag for $6.99, I couldn’t pass it up.

When I compared the nutritional stats to one another, I was blown away.

I don’t even care about the calorie difference. Look at the difference in fat and protein! Even if the gluten-free version of oats doesn’t aid in digestion and all those stomach woes, at least I will be happy about the actual product itself.

So, my breakfast?

GF-oats-real-pbI ran out of my PB2 stash, and was getting sick of it in my oats, so since I have 100 jars of peanut butter, I grabbed a jar to keep in my office. Along with 1/3 of a banana, I also included Stonewall Kitchen’s Wild Maine Blueberry Jam that I received at the Stonyfield 5k post-race fair.

Look at those cute little fresh bluebs in that bite! Real peanut butter tastes 500 times better than the flour version. Plus, since I cut the fat from the old-fashioned oats, why not bring it back with real pb, right?

The rest of the day will be fun. No sleeping by 8:30 for me! I’m heading to a fancy smancy dinner at Mint Bistro tonight with my cousin Jenn’s, Crossfit friend. Girl has been trying to set me up with him for months now, but unfortunately that all happened when I was dating Mark, so now a little dinner date is finally happening.

I can’t get the burger on the pretzel bun wrapped in bacon since I just had a burger on Sunday, so I think I’m going for sushi.

What type of sushi should I get tonight?

Have you tried Gluten-Free oats, if so, what’s your opinion?

Creamy or crunchy peanut butter?

If you say crunchy, we can’t be friends.

Today I am tired. And tired. And tired. With a side of a splitting headache. Also majorly grumpy. Last night, my friend Ryan, who lives in Colorado, texted me about flying out and going to the Kip Moore show with him.

Ry told me Monday that Kippie was playing in Denver tonight, and I immediately told him I was flying out. Ry was in the field – he’s Army – until Thursday morning with limited service, so we barely got to talk about the possibility of it.

He knows how to spell, he was just clearly excited. 😉 After this text, I became obsessed with finding flights. I could leave at 5:30 am for close to $500 bucks and leave Saturday/Sunday a little after midnight to still make it home for Easter. I would’ve been disowned if I missed it. Family. Geesh.

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t in the cards. I’ve sat in my office all day long and have listened to his album on repeat, watching videos on YouTube, and pouting. That and having the best convo with Ryan. Ever. Ry started talking to me using lines from one of Kip’s songs, and after that, we just couldn’t stop.

When I read those messages now, I realize just how dirty some of Kip’s lines are. Every single line of mine is his. Mom, I promise. Seriously, Mom.

My run this morning was also shitttay. Another reason I’m all pouty. I went for 4 miles, and they were absolutely painful. My hippage area and obliques are wicked sore from the 30 Day Shred, so that’s made the running more painful. Plus, I think I have a shin splint forming. Blaming it on the 5 miler. Stupid running.

I had absolutely no energy to do Day 5 of the 30 Day Shred.

Meals today included a pb&b chocolate protein shake. Undocumented.

A little PB2 greek yogurt. Funny story about that little tinfoil edge on the container. I was talking to my roomies last night about how I was microwaving my peanut butter the other night. They looked at me like I had 500 heads. Who doesn’t microwave pb?

Anyways, the covering you have to rip off the jar when it’s new has a little aluminum on it. Didn’t realize there was a small fleck on the edge of the container, because all of a sudden, there was a big spark in the microwave. Whoopsies. After telling that story, Al asked if I got my renter’s insurance yet. Daddddddd????

If blood makes you weak, here’s your warning to leave.

I was just doing my thing, minding my own business at my desk when I looked and saw red. No idea how this happened, but this finger was gushing blood. I’m insanely proud of the random product placement happening in the background. Exactly what I was thinking too.

I went to the gym on my lunch, but I only walked for 30 and went on the elliptical for 10. I wanted to move my sore body, but at the same time, I didn’t. After that, I enjoyed my lunch, which was a PB2 covered english muffin with veggies.

Every meal but one has included PB2. Protein shake, yogurt, apple and this one. Some days I’m all for it, others, I don’t touch the stuff.

I’m clock watching right now. Ryan and Chelsey are at my parents house for the weekend so I’m excited for another few days with them.

The ol’ man is grilling up chicken and salmon tonight, and I believe there’s a cousin get together tonight for bar trivia. The only bad thing is that it starts at 9, and I would like to be passed out by 6.

Decisions. Sometime’s it’s tough being a grandma.

Half Class but Not Half Assed

Last night I took 2 fitness classes, but only half of each. I was so excited to participate in my favorite Zumba class, but when I arrived, Katie, our usual instructor wasn’t there. Instead, we had a sub. I’ve only taken Zumba classes with Katie, so I was nervous to see how our sub would do, since I really enjoy Katie’s youthful songs and dances.

Our sub was so bad that I bailed 15 minutes into class. The instructor didn’t give any instructions or directions and literally was dancing like an all-star Zumba dancer. Stop. I’m white and have no moves, don’t bring that shit into a Gold’s Gym Zumba class. I tried my best to keep up, but she was dancing in ways that I’ve never thought possible, and at times I just stood there and watched other people flail around.

I could have kept going and gotten a pathetic workout in, but I value my time, and decided to jet out in between songs, and instead, I jumped on the treadmill for an incline interval speed walk workout. How’s that for your daily tongue twister.

After 1.5 miles, I jumped off and went back to the fitness room to take R.I.P.P.E.D. Well guess what, my favorite Zumba sub was also subbing for the weights class. My luck! It’s like Gold’s Gym brought in the scabs so that they didn’t have to pay their best instructors the top doller.

I decided to give her a second chance to redeem herself, and while previous R.I.P.P.E.D classes have kicked my booty, this one wasn’t too hard. Since I had a puppy who had been crated all day, I decided to leave after 30 minutes to take care of her. It was definitely a disappointing workout, but it was better than nothing, and at least I truly confused my body.

Have you ever bailed on a workout because it wasn’t up to par?

This was the first time I’m ever quit a class, and while I hate being a quitter, I knew I’d get a better workout in by leaving. Sometimes you just have to put yourself first!

After class, I took care of Lanie girl and proceeded to make a chocolate peanut butter yogurt bowl. I used too much peanut butter that looking at that picture makes me want to vomit now. I couldn’t even finish it all last night.

My shipment of PB2 and Quest Bars came in last night, so I made sure to top my greek yogurt with the good stuff! I ordered 3 Quest Bars that I’ve never tried before; Lemon Cream Pie, Banana Nut Muffin, and Berry Bliss, so I’m super stoked to try them out!

I’ve been waking up at 5 am this entire week in order to still get my runs in while taking care of the puppy, and oo baby, the extra 30 mintues is really starting to hit me. Usually my alarm goes off at 5:05 and I snooze until 5:35, but this no snoozing thing has it’s pros and cons. The only con being that I loose sleep, of course.

The extra 30 minutes gives me time to wake up, head home, run and shower, and then head back to their house to take care of the little girl before work. Next week I’ll be a free girl, but I’m definitely going to continue with this no snoozing business, since it’ll give me an extra 30 minutes to use for my workouts. I’m thinking 5 instead of 4 miles, and more core work!

And the fact that I get to run in my trusted Flex Experience shoes makes it even more motivating! I returned my attention seeking purple Nike Frees because of blister problems, and returned to the Flex Experience shoe, making it my 3rd pair.

I typically go through several pairs of the same shoe before they get discontinued, so instead of shopping around for a different style, I knew it’d be easier to go with the shoe that gives me the best run.

Best part of the day so far has been my apple slices drenched in a tub of PB2. Scouts honor that this is my favorite meal of the day. I could live off of apple slices and can get drunk off of 2.5 beers. I’m a cheap date. And to the hunks out there, single too. 😉

Also, 10 bonus points to the person who can find me staring you down in the above picture. 🙂

Too Much Peanut Butter

I am officially peanut buttered out. I’ve put myself to shame. I think this is the first time I would ever turn down a spoonful of peanut butter.

Based on my calculations, I’ve consumed 8 tbsp of PB2 today. Let’s break it down, because I know everyone cares.

  • 2 in my mid-morning yogurt
  • 2 on my Quest Bar
  • 4 on my sweet potato

I’m going to barf. I didn’t even lick the bowl clean tonight.

After work I headed over to Supercuts for a quick split-end trim before getting home and feasting on almost half of a sweet potato drenched in PB2 and unsweetened coconut flakes.

See that awesome imprint in the peanut butter? I’d like to personally thank my dog for enjoying my dinner while I grabbed my laptop from the kitchen. I guarantee he didn’t get to lick the bowl either.

After entering a PB2 induced coma, I whipped up a creation that I’ve seen on Julie and Megan’s blog.

Chocolate Avocado Mousse!

Quick and easy is how I roll. I’ve been eager to try this recipe out ever since Julie raved about it, but I think it’s one that I’ll have to get used to. That or I just have to test out other add-ins, because it wasn’t as sweet as I was hoping for.

Into the food processor went:

  • Ripe avocado
  • 4 tsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tsp honey
  • several banana chunks
  • water to get everything moving

I highly recommend you not try this warm! Right now I have it chilling in the fridge and plan to test it out again a little later tonight!

Oh, and for a little humor before I head over to Mark’s for a lazy Friday night, please enjoy our reasonings for working out.

Opposites attract, eh?

Happy weekend my loves! xo

The Return of Overnight Oats

**Please disregard this awful theme as the switch to deleted my old theme. A redesign is currently in progress.**

First and foremost, did you all hear about the BIG news?! New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men are going on tour together! Excuse me, but holy crapolla, if only the Backstreet Boys were in that mix then this would be the ultimate fan girl’s dream.

Jordan and Jonathan Knight, and Drew and Nick Lachey, 2 sets of brothers, omg! So, who’s going with me?

Crap guys, now I can’t focus. Too many beautiful visions are going through my mind right now. Let’s talk food, beautiful food.

For my mid-morning snack I mixed 3 TBSP of PB2 into a 100 calorie vanilla Yoplait Greek yogurt. I might have gone overboard with the PB2, but the chunks of peanut butter scattered throughout each bite was amazing.

Just look at that peanut butter working it. Who am I kidding, there’s no such thing as a peanut butter overload!

[I would love to put some peanut butter on Drew Lachey’s chiseled chest].

Throughout the day I also enjoyed a Honeycrisp apple, roasted veggies and 4 egg whites, which I enjoyed pre and post-workout.

Today’s Workout

I started my morning off with a very difficult run thanks to my lead legs from yesterday’s workout. I completed 4.3 miles and threw in a little core work, but I think I might have overworked my lower abdomen because the lower right side has been pretty sore the past several days.

At the gym I warmed up for 10 minutes on the elliptical before tackling Circuit A from Fitness RX’s Perfect 10 Workout. I completed Circuit B yesterday! I loved the way the various muscles in my shoulders popped during the Bent-Over Barbell Rows.

All I can say is that at the end of my workout, my arms were jello! In between the 4 sets I completed 30 jumping jacks and 30 high knees to get my heart rate up. I cooled down with a 5 minute treadmill walk and then a .3 mile run.

Since Allie and Kris are picking me up from work so that we can check out a townhouse roughly 20 minutes away, I packed overnight oats in an almost empty pb jar for my dinner since I knew I would get home late.

PS, the Smart Balance peanut butter is officially my favorite peanut butter! It was my first time buying it and definitely won’t be my last! I might have enjoyed several peanut butter fingers Sunday night while watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.

Seriously, the jar is practically empty. I had my entire hand shoved in that jar Sunday night, so the little remnants of peanut butter were joined by:

  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup Almond milk
  • 1 container of 100 calorie Yoplait strawberry Greek yogurt
  • .5 TBSP chia seeds
  • ¼ cup of frozen raspberries
  • 2 TBSP PB2

That baby should keep me full until dessert time tonight, which I’m thinking a little bananafied soft-serve ice cream is in order!

Will Someone Please Chop My Legs Off?

My. Legs. Are. Killing. Me. And by “killing” I mean, painful, murderous, cringe-worthy cramping. Basically, SOS.

I know I mentioned the workout Heather put me through last night, but here’s the workout in her own words:

In my words, it’s the death workout brought to you by the fittest chick around and completed by an innocent and helpless participant; me.

My legs were so tight when I woke up that I almost crumpled to the floor when I got out of bed. I instantly knew my morning run wasn’t going to be much of a run, and I told myself if I could make it through 2 miles that that would be fantastic.

By .15 miles I wanted to cut my legs off, but I kept going and pushed through the pain and decided to run in increments of .50 miles, stretch my legs, run .50 again, stretch, and continually repeating until I had to get ready for work.

I miraculously made it to 3 miles; don’t ask me how I did that because I don’t even know. I clearly wasn’t running with my legs, so it must’ve been all heart carrying me.

Morning Workout

  • 3 mile run, .20 mile walk
  • 50 heel touchers
  • 30 toe touchers
  • 50 scissors
  • 2 sets of 50 crunches
  • 1 minute plank

Before work, I enjoyed half of an undocumented grapefruit and a chocolate cookies & cream protein shake. I’ve been out of spinach for 2 days so I’ve been missing that little all-star from my morning shakes. Luckily he’ll return tomorrow!

I got hungry pretty quickly at work, and tried a new version of oatmeal. Plain oatmeal with almond milk with a chunk of PB2 on top. Verdict: Awful. Not too sure what all those crazy bloggers are talking about when they rave about this! 😉

After several bites and a full stomach, I tossed about ¾ of the bowl in the trash. It was too bland and not worth the calories. What a perfectly good waste of my PB2! Is there a secret to this bowl to make it delish? I think my issue was that I pre-cooked the oats last night and reheated the bowl this morning. Probably just not enough peanut butter. Duh!

My hunger has held off for the most part all morning, but with my legs & arms workout scheduled for my lunch break, I know I’ll need fuel, so I’m enjoying a mushy apple and a handful of almonds.

Now it’s time for my legs & arms workout. Poor legs!

I’m soooo dreading my 4 sets of 30 step-ups!

P.S, what’s the weather like in your area today?

It just started snowing in New Hampshire!

I Survived Personal Training!

I did something today that I never do. I took a sick day. Okay, technically no, but I took a sick “morning,” and went into work 3 hours later, at 11.

I needed it. I woke up around 1 am with a sinus headache. My jaw and eyes were killing me, my throat was hoarse, and I had a headache and a stuffy nose. I was so sexy. I couldn’t fall back asleep for quite a bit and I just knew that the morning wasn’t going to be pretty.

When my alarm went off at 5:25, I got up, looked in the mirror and my exact thoughts were, “oh hell no!” I crawled back into bed, snoozed until 6, let my boss and coworker know I’d be late and slept until quarter of 8. I woke up feeling amazing, even though I was still blowing my nose every 10 seconds.

I managed to get a 4 mile run in. Don’t ask me how. My lungs were struggling and my nose was running, so it took me a lot longer than usually, but I had time on my side so it was allllll good.

Morning Workout

• 4 mile run
• 50 heel touchers
• 30 toe touches
• 50 crunches: regular, left and right
• 1 minute plank hold
• 2 sets of 20 mountain climbers • Stretching

After my run, I multi-tasked with core work and watching Kelly & Michael, which I was extremely excited about since I’m never home to watch their show. Kelly Ripa is my idol. So pretty, hilarious, witty and down to earth. I’m sure she’d say the same about me if she met me. 😉

I enjoyed a summer breakfast, even though it was only 30 degrees out.

I went for my go-to chocolate peanut butter banana protein shake, half of a grapefruit and a clementine. I was all about the citrusy flavors this morning!

I haven’t had the biggest appetite at all today. Okay, scratch that. It’s nonexistent, but I’m forcing myself to eat small meals since I’ve been told I need more calories. It’s hard enough to consumer several hundred additional calories when you’re already full, but when you’re sick and have to force yourself to eat breakfast or lunch, it’s even harder because I know I’ll be under my recommended goal for today. Oh well, that is life!

My lunch, or snack eaten during the lunch hour was delish… even with no appetite!

I enjoyed a Chobani power bowl, which consisted of strawberry Chobani yogurt, chia seeds, old-fashioned oats, PB2 and flax seed. Alright, sometimes eating regardless of your hunger is fun. 😉

Last night I had my first personal training session. I can’t put it any simpler, but, I LOVE my trainer. She’s kick-ass, fierce, funny, and nice. She pushed me to the limit last night and I loved every second of it, including my seizing legs and shaky arms.

Since I got to the gym 20 minutes early, I warmed up with a fast-paced walk on the treadmill to get my heart rate up, before heading to the front desk to talk with Jeremy until Heather was ready.

Heather put me right into the workout, and had me work my legs with a series of squats with a stability ball, step-ups, leg curls, and sidekicks. After completing that circuit, we did arm work, which consisted of using machines for my triceps, biceps and shoulders. Both of these circuits were repeated twice, and boy was I dripping in sweat!

This girl knows how to work you. She’s more of the Bob Harper type, which I absolutely prefer.

After my workout we talked about some topics I had on my mind before we said our goodbyes and I chatted with Jeremy again before calling it a night.

All I can say is that having a personal trainer is going to be money well spent and I can already tell that Heather is eager to push me to get the results we both want for me.

Merry early Christmas to me! 😉

Sexiest Man Alive and a Broccoli Overload

Mark this as VERY IMPORTANT:

People Magazine announced the Sexiest Man Alive late this morning and I am not pleased.

Okay, fine. Channing Tatum does look MARVELOUS in that beater, and tweed pants and freckled shoulders ensemble he’s rocking. I’ll give him that. I like Channing when he’s trim, but beefy Channing is not a sexy Channing. Sure, sure he stole my heart in The Vow, well by the end of the movie he did, but, Sexiest Man Alive? Nope. Not even close.

Oh hey, baby. Now THAT’S more like it. Gimme a piece of McDreamy! 😉 Sexiest Man Alive right there ladies and gentlemen. Don’t argue, you won’t win.

In all seriousness, who do you think should have taken the Sexiest Man Alive title?

Ever year I petition for Patrick Dempsey and every year I lose. That’s okay, he holds the title in my heart. Seriously though, hands off, he’s mine.

Last night my appetite magically disappeared. By disappeared, I mean that after work, dinner consisted of a handful of Special K crackers and 1 White Choco-Chip Butternut Square. Yes, only 1. That’s all I ate from 5:30 pm until 10:30 am. No rumbling belly, no junk food craving. A spoonful of peanut butter wasn’t even appealing to me.

I typically get cravings for an entire jar of peanut butter when I’m full and still go after it anyways because I’m a fatty I treat myself. 😉

Woke up once during the middle of the night, had to go downstairs for something, walked by the kitchen and cabinets and the plate full of squares, and didn’t even have the slightest craving for anything.

The world MUST be ending. I’m telling you there are some weird things going on!

My workout was kick ass and I loved the burn I got from my core workout. That was easily the All-Star of today’s workout.

Wednesday’s Workout

  • 5 mile run
  • 4 sets of 15 stair push-ups
  • 1 minute plank and 30 second side plank holds
  • 2 sets of 20 mountain climbers
  • 2 sets of 50 heel touchers
  • 50  vertical toe touches
  • 150 crunches: 50 regular, left and right
  • 100’s Abs
  • 20 minutes interval on vertical elliptical
  • Stretching

I call this one my 50’s workout. 🙂

Kip even helped me with my stretching and foam rolling. That boy does NOT look amused. That or he’s just sad that he knows I’ll be leaving for work soon. 🙁

Breakfast included a little twist on my usual Raspberry Mango Overnight Oats. This morning, I opened my snack drawer to see if I could throw more in the bowl and was pleased when my PB2 and flax-seed were looking right at me.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This was pure heaven in my mouth. I wasn’t even that hungry but I still demolished this sucker in minutes. I just love my Chobani powerbowls!

After my afternoon workout, I still wasn’t hungry at all, but I knew that I had to eat something otherwise my workout would have been a waste if I didn’t properly nourish it. I’ve been neglecting my vegetables lately (shush I know) so I redeemed myself and enjoyed a plate full of veggies and several turkey roll-ups.

3/4 of my plate is broccoli. Holy Moses, I’m gonna be seeing green later, and I don’t mean the dollar bills either!

Tonight after work I have to make a pit-stop at my favorite store ever, Target for glitter nail polish a few beauty essentials, and then I’ll be tearing it up with my man, Tony Horton!

Laters baby. 😉

Love with Food Delivery!

If I had been smart I would have opted out of my lunch time workout. My body was no longer achy, but it was still sore, which resulted in a crappy workout.

I attempted a run, but after 1 mile I gave my legs a rest and decided to finish the rest of my workout with a cardio hodgepodge mash-up.

After my mile run, I spent 10 minutes on the vertical elliptical and 10 minutes of spinning sprints, with a 5 minute cool down walk.

After showering, I dug into last night’s leftovers, which consisted of baked chicken, mushrooms, green peppers, sweet potatoes and onions. So good!

I was still pretty hungry so I dipped a banana in my PB2 powder.

Shortly after lunch, the girls and I packed up our cars with materials for the trade show we’ll be working this week, and headed down the street to set up at the Radisson.

Bring on the visitors!

When I arrived home, I had a lovely package waiting for me from Love with Food.

Time to kickoff the holiday season with my favorite Christmas movie, The Christmas Card!

When do you guys believe is the appropriate time to start with the Christmas movies and music?

I know some people refuse to start getting into the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving, but I say let the festivities begin again December 26th! 😉

What? I love the Christmas cheer!

Trader Joe’s, Sex Toys and Long-Lost Friends

Saturday was a busy little day. It felt like I didn’t have a minute of free time where I could just sit down and relax.

After my workout, I tagged along with my momma while she got her haircut before we swung over for a shopping spree at Trader Joe’s. I believe it’s the first TJ’s in New Hampshire, and it recently opened, so we were excited to check it out.

I loved the set-up of the produce, although the center aisles were very compact and I had to wait in line to select my Fuji apples. It didn’t help that we went on a Saturday afternoon, as we felt like the entire city of Nashua was shopping with us.

I even came across Brussels Sprouts on a stick! I couldn’t not take a picture with this little big guy. It was so cute and something I had never seen before. I guess I always thought that Brussels Sprouts just came in a bag. 😉

After seeing Roasted Seaweed on many blogger’s pages, I was excited when I came across snack size bags for $.99! I grabbed one and ripped into once we were driving home to test them out.

My first bite resulted in tiny seaweed flakes on my shirt, and the post-bite left a slimy feeling in my mouth. I powered through about half of the pouch before I couldn’t do it anymore. The seaweed was a little too salty and “weird” for me. Overall I’m happy that I gave them a shot, but I would much rather snack on baked sweet potatoes with PB2.

After my sweet potato and peanut butter fix, I ventured over to the gym for a quick cardio workout that included a 1 mile run, 15 minutes on the vertical elliptical and weights.

When I got into my car after my workout, I looked out the side mirror and had a beautiful and breathless view. I couldn’t have parked any more perfect. I felt like I was in a photoshopped moment.

After showering, I enjoyed a powerbowl for dinner, which included Chobani Vanilla yogurt, chia seeds, fresh strawberries, flax-seed, finely diced walnuts and raw oatmeal.

My powerbowl hit the spot and left me feeling nice and full before I headed up North to my friend Chris’ Sex Toy party put on my Athena’s. I’ve been to one of these parties years ago, and just like the first time, I went more so for the company. Chris and I used to work together last year, and I hadn’t seen her since the end of January when I left that job, so I was really excited to spend time with her and catch up.

I ended up being the last one to leave, and stayed a good hour and a half after her friends left. We talked about our ex’s and got into the juicy details of how we both lost who we thought were the “loves of our lives,” we discussed work and also just life and our past coworkers. It was so good to see Chris and we’re both making sure we get together more often!

I arrived home around 9:30 and at that point, I was DEAD tired. I felt so guilty because I had about 4 friends who were texting me but I was so exhausted that by 10:20 I passed out, leaving 4 conversations hanging.
