This has shaped up to be the weirdest Wednesday I’ve had in a while, but before I dive into that ish, look what finally arrived last night!
The 11 Quest Bars that I nabbed for approx. $11.85 arrived last night via Eversave and Lucky Vitamin. I’m practically drooling over this picture and cannot wait to try the peanut butter and jelly bar, which I’ve surprisingly never tried! I was also notified last night via a girl that I follow on Instagram that Quest has a chocolate chip cookie dough bar that is soon to be released! AHHHHH! I will live off of that flavor!
Last night while watching Grey’s Anatomy I proceeded to eat Hulk Hogan’s body weight in almonds, which were so satisfying at the time, but when I woke up this morning, my body seriously hated me. It was a toss-up between having the stomach flu or being struck with the plague.
I attempted to run, but every so often I’d have to stop, get on all fours and just chill, that or I was sprinting to the bathroom. I’m so bummed that I was only able to cover 3 miles because my legs would’ve carried me a lot longer.
Surprisingly I had a big appetite, which is weird considering how deathly I felt, but I managed to take down my Strawberry Banana protein shake.
Strawberry Banana Protein Shake
This shake is so simple and can be made in minutes with the right ingredients on hand.
- 8 oz almond milk
- 1 scoop Syntha-6 Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder (or powder of your choice)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- handful of mini ice cubes
- dash of water to get things moving
In minutes you’ll be staring into the bottom of your favorite glass. 🙁
My morning got even more weird as I had to switch my normal Thursday personal training days to today since I have an all day conference tomorrow. I honestly wasn’t feeling like being put through a strenous workout, but just to get something back into my system before it, I ate 2 tbsp of PB2 to carry me through the workout, enough that it woudn’t make me ralph.
Well, Heather forgot about our switching days because after I ran a 1 mile warm-up and went to find her, she was trucking along on the stair stepper. Someone forgot about me, but deep down I was praising the heavens that I didn’t have to workout with her today. Instead, I went back into the women’s gym and completed 10 minutes on the elliptical, several sets of overhead presses and lat pull-downs before walking .4 miles and running .3 miles.
After my workout my appetite finally came back and I enjoyed leftover roasted veggies from honestly like a week ago, don’t judge, and 4 hard boiled egg whites.
I’m not sure why, but I’ve been loving the egg whites the past few days.
