Hi my loves! Thank you so much for all of your comments on yesterday’s post! What I love most about our wonderful blogging community is that we all understand everyone’s struggles and triumphs, which brings us even closer. It’s important to remember that we all, at one point in time, feel the exact same way, so if you ever have really bad days, email me or comment here and I will do my best to cheer you up! I will even send you pictures of me during my awkward stage of life.
So it’s Friday, woohoo! After a crazy week, I have a few random musings to share with you, the first, being my expertise at making and peeling hard-boiled eggs.
I have full, blown-out temper tantrums when I try to peel eggs. The other night I threw 2 eggs on the counter, smashing them, dropped about 10 f bombs in my head, because if I said it out loud, my Dad would have flipped a lid. After the 2nd egg I slammed down, I stormed out of the kitchen… which prompted my Mom to peel the rest of the eggs. I KNEW moving home had its’ perks! Seriously though, she is a rock star. Those morbidly peeled eggs were mine, not hers.
Deals at Target make me 1) poor 2)happy. New bra with the cutest strap design. I didn’t realize they were like that until I got home and struggled to put the bra on. #realworldstruggles
And THE cutest bottoms!
Yesterday’s CrossFit workout was one of my favorites! 3 snatches and then a 15 second sprint on the erg (rower). Rowing sprints > running sprints. 3 calories burned on the first round, and the remaining 4 rounds I rowed 4 calories. When you have short arms and legs, you are at a pretty big rowing disadvantage. Thanks for the shortness Dad!
My first run since Sunday happened yesterday afternoon. Mon-Wed off from running, and I enjoyed the break. I felt amazing and didn’t feel the need to run (mostly because this week I was obsessed with CrossFit). Usually when I missed a run or cardio, I would feel so gross and heavy, but it just goes to show you that what you eat really is 80-90% of it, and the fitness is the remaining percentage.
OMG cannot believe I did this, but I spent a few extra minutes in the gym bathroom taking a selfie of my shrimp muscles. My excuse will just be that in a month I will take another selfie and hopefully my shrimp muscles turn into jumbo shrimps. I feel like such a tool for this picture haha. Like I’d almost rather show you a picture of my awkward years than this muscle selfie.
YOU GUYS I DID NOT HAVE MY CHEAT MEAL ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. I just wasn’t craving it, and instead went for chicken sausage with sautéed kale, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Also, I didn’t have my cheat meal because I knew this was tonight’s dessert. This bar is 3.5 oz and my coach wrote on my meal plan to eat THREE oz.. I get almost the entire bar. The chocolate has to be 80% of higher, per Coach Mike’s rules.I am counting down the hours until I get my chocolate tonight. I am so giddy that I get to stuff this in my face! EAT ALL OF THE CHOCOLATE!!
Whatchya doing this weekend? Come see me! 🙂
I have CrossFit tomorrow morning, and then spending Saturday making crafts and decorations for my SIL’s bridal shower that’s next weekend. Sunday I have a race!
