Well guys, vacation is over and I’m wallowing in my own pity at home… in the cold tundra. I’m really not okay with this either. I never thought I’d visit an area and fall head over heels with it, but I managed to do so, and will be honest when I say that I’m not opposed to getting back there permanently.
My last day started at 7 am, where I set out for a 2 mile run and 1.5 mile walk around the neighborhood. It was actually a nice, cool morning, so the run felt good!
After working out, we showered and headed to Sharky’s Beach, where we spent most of the 3-4 hours bundled up in our towels and clothes. It was chilly and super buggy! Not a cool last beach day if you ask me!
Around 3:15 I called it a beach day, and we went home to shower before we returned back to Sharky’s, but this time for dinner. We had 40 minutes to kill, so we walked on the pier that Sharky’s is attached to, and goofed off.
Let me just say that I absolutely love having a cousin who loves taking as many pictures as I do!
I absolutely love having a cousin just as crazy as I am, even if we are 91% different.
We were hoping to catch another sunset like we did on Sunday, but the clouds thwarted our plans. It was still a gorgeous view!
The wind got to be too much for us on the pier, so we headed to the outside seating area and grabbed a seat in the waiting area on the deck overlooking the beach. That’s the pier lit up in the background. Pretty beautiful set-up eh? Know do you understand why I want to live here?
When we left, I requested one last picture with the palm trees.
After dinner, we headed into Walmart to grab a few things, and since it had been raining, as we walked in, my flip-flop caught a wet spot on the entry aisle and I ate shit. I’m talking, went down in a split with one hand on the ground and the other on the air. That’s the view my cousin told me she had of me. It was hilarious, until I got an egg on my knee. How does that even happen?!
And that’s a wrap on my 5-day Florida vacation. I will say that I’m excited to get back into my routine of CrossFit and 96% clean eating. I missed my CrossFit family. I guess being home isn’t that bad, because tonight I get to see Keith Urban & Little Big Town in concert! Cannot wait!
Ever been to Florida? Is there one place that you would love to move to?
Sarasota for me! The downtown area is sooo gorgeous and offers so much to do!
