Happy freakin’ Friday! Is it me or has this week completely dragged on? Between being sick and having a never-ending migraine, this week has been pretty meh, but I’m glad the weekend is within grasp because I have a lot of fun plans this weekend.
Before we start the weekend, let’s take a quick look at yesterday!
I started my Thursday off at the gym. This was my pretty view leaving the house!
My lunch hour was spent at home, enjoying probably one of the last home lunches I will have for the rest of my career with this firm. I’m being dramatic, but I am so going to miss having this luxury! I’m not changing firms, but there has been a slight change to adapt to. This was a really random assortment of foods, but I wanted to use up some of the random foods I had lying around.
By late afternoon I was craving sweets really badly, so instead of choosing candy, I enjoyed a cookies & cream Quest Bar. In order to put more money towards buying a condo, I’m trying to limit my purchases. Instead of 2 boxes a month of Quest Bars, I’m aiming to stretch 1 box through a month, and only having them in emergency situations. Sucks being an adult!
My main goal for the week was to get unsick so I could enjoy my Thursday night plans; dinner with Katie! I haven’t seen Katie since my days of CrossFit, so it was really great to catch up with Katie. We started CrossFit right around the same time, so we grew really close during those 6:30 am classes in a small room when it was just a few of us.
We met at 5:15 in downtown at Mint Bistro, a sushi restaurant that I used to dine regularly at years ago. I ordered the Taste of Sashimi and a bowl of Miso Soup. Next time I do sushi I’m going on high carb day so I can eat all the rolls!
It was SO much fun chatting with Katie about wedding plans, my dating life, work, and what’s going on at CrossFit Ad Finem. Girl time was so much fun, and I cannot wait to do it again with Katie. Oh, and this type of luck will never happen again.
After dinner, I quickly hit up Vitamin Shoppe because I was in need of a new pre-workout. Best friend Lindsay told me about this stuff, so I grabbed it. I tried it out this morning (Friday), and I love it! We’ll see how it works over time!
What’s your favorite type of sushi? Sashimi, roll?
Mine is the Rainbow Roll and the California Roll!
Do you take a pre-workout?
Cellucor C4 and Spark are also ones that I love!!
