Last night my headache only got worse. My boss let me leave work at 4, so I went back to my apartment, collapsed on the couch, and watched 2 episodes of Whitney before heading to my parent’s house to have dinner with them, Ryan and Chelsey.
I had time before dinner, so I went straight for the couch and watched 3 more episodes of Whitney before dinner. I was hoping that by laying down that my awful headache would go away. Unfortunately, when I get a headache, it’s there for the day and night.
I was hoping a dinner full of veggies and protein would help with my headache, so I was excited when my Dad grilled up my favorites; salmon, chicken and shrimp.
My Dad doesn’t know how to buy the correct amount of food and always goes overboard, which just meant that I got to bring home a slab of salmon and chicken home with me.
I stayed for a little bit after dinner, but my headache was getting so bad that all I wanted was to curl up in the fetal position in my bed. The 20 minute drive home was actually kind of scary, and at one point, my vision went a little blurry. I’m not sure if I’m getting migraines, but when I don’t get a lot of sleep, I get headaches that create pain behind my eyes, which causes me to feel nauseous, all while the back of my head feels like it has a pack of hammers hitting it.
After getting home, I talked with Allie for a few minutes before crawling into bed. I kept waking up in the middle of the night, and I was so happy and sad to wake up to this text from RyGuy.
I was so bummed that I wasn’t able to go to Kip Moore’s Denver show with Ry, but waking up to his texts made me happy. Kip has a new song called Backseat that will be on his next album that I told Ry about last week, so I was so excited to see his excitement when he played it.
Still pouting that I’m not in Colorado with Ry, but I was happy to wake up without my headache. I threw down a slice of GF bread with PB2 and a smear of jam on it to get a little carbs in me before my run.
After letting my non-toasted toast settle, I hit the gym for a 4.3 mile run before coming back and completing Day 5 of the 30 Day Shred. My body was definitely thankful that I gave it a rest yesterday.
After packing a few things, I headed to Target to return a lampshade and to finally buy a new tennis racket.
I tell Jenny every season that I’ll arrive at our next match with a new racket, and I never do. I finally caved in and dropped $20 for a new racket. Roger Federer has a brother?! He’s cute!
Now I’m back at my parents for the day and night.
I instantly went for the couch to snuggle with Jakey. Now, we’re heading out to run errands, before going to The Farm for dinner, followed by game night. I’m hoping to pop next door and meet Lindsay and Lauren for a quick drink, before game night. I can’t wait!
