Yesterday was one of those days where I just wanted to stay in bed all day long, curled up under a big fluffy blanket with a chick flick marathon. I was exhausted, tired, and achy, and the pouring rain and snow didn’t help my spirits.
I wasn’t in the mood at all for my lunch time workout, and I considered taking the Body Pump class at 5:30, but instead, I sucked it up and went on my lunch hour because I knew the workout would feel good, even if I did have to sprint in the downpour to get to the gym!
I’m so happy I went because I honestly had a heart-pumping workout. I started with a 1.5 mile run. I was only going to go for a mile, but I got caught up in my Fall Out Boy playlist that I just kept going. Hello high school flashback!
After my run, I completed my Weekend Leg Burner workout, and by the end of my 4th round of forward and backwards barbell lunges across the fitness room, I was drenched in sweat.
Even though I got a great workout in, I was still craving a boat load of chocolate and an indulgent dinner, so I went for my Jack Johnson Pancakes.
I altered the recipe a little, and instead of 2 eggs, I made it with 1 egg and 1 egg white, and doubled the chocolate chip amount. It was definitely necessary. These pancakes were fluffier then the other night’s batch, so with 1 egg and 1 egg white is the way to go. Such a filling and healthy dinner!
I spent the rest of the night playing and cuddling with Lanie bug, while watching CSI:NY and Grey’s Anatomy. This whole house/puppy sitting thing has really allowed me to catch up on the months of shows I’m behind on!
I’ve definitely felt off today, I think my lack of veggies and clean eating is catching up to me, so I’ve made it a point to try to bring some balance back into my life.
I started my morning with a 4 mile run, and downed a protein shake to feed my muscles. I haven’t had a major appetite at all today, so it was a struggle to enjoy my apple and pb.
I started getting a tension headache around lunch time, which I knew was a result of a lack of food. I forced myself to eat, even if I wasn’t overly hungry. I enjoyed a 1 egg and 3 egg white microwave scramble with my fav kind of veggies ever. Mixed veggies always reminds me of 4-year-old food. Can’t live without it.
I’m taking another group exercise class this afternoon and refuse to walk out, even if the teacher sucks. I’ll be taking a Body Blast class at 4:30, followed by half of the Zumba class at 5:30. I’m so nervous for the Body Blast class that I might shart myself! I watched a clip on YouTube of what it entails, and holy crap, I might have to log roll everywhere tomorrow!
