I have so many awesome cousins, but there’s one that sticks out to me and means so much. She has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone so much lately, and has been a big support in my life as I’ve stepped in the CrossFit and Paleo world. My cousin Jenn is awesome. Beyond awesome. She recently introduced me to RxBar on her blog, when she was raving about the bars multiple times.
RxBars are made for athletes, more specifically CrossFitters, hence the Rx name. RxBars are made up of no more than 8 ingredients, and all ingredients comply with the Paleo guidelines. Even better, they are Whole 30 approved, which has turned into a big help for me while on the Whole 30.
100% Paleo. 100% natural. 100% amazingly delicious! RxBars are simple and pure. No BS!
“They do not contain: grains, added sugars, gluten, soy, dairy, or any artificial or processed ingredients. RxBars are as prescribed by nature to give you the proper balance of high quality pure egg white protein, a healthy supply of fats, carbohydrates that are high in fiber, and natural sugars from the fruits themselves.”
I brought the coconut cacao bar with me to the Keith Urban concert a few weeks ago, since I knew I would need a concert snack. Since I had just gotten home from vacation and hadn’t had time to meal prep, this bar came in handy. I was hesitant taking my first bite, as you never know how good something that is truly healthy will taste. With just one bite, I knew it was already my favorite type of protein bar.
A few days later, when I went to see Keith Urban again, I brought the blueberry RxBar with me. I didn’t think anything would taste better than the Coconut Cacao bar, but my goodness, the blueberry bar was 10 kinds of amazing. It tasted like a decadent breakfast pastry, and I was in absolute heaven.
Chunks of blueberry and nuts. It doesn’t get more real than that. And don’t worry, they aren’t rubbery like the consistency of Powerbars.
I tried the Coffee Cacao last week on one of those incredibly hangry days, and it was good, but, I despise coffee, so I wasn’t in love. This would be the last flavor that I’d buy, but it’s still really good enough to eat! I have a feeling any coffee addict would love it. There were even little coffee bits in it!
And lastly, I enjoyed the apple cinnamon RxBar as dessert last night. I warmed the bar up, and ate part of it as is, and the other half I tour into pieces and put in almond milk. Chunks of apple and almonds. So good, so good!!!
These bars are amazing, and the blueberry and coconut cacao are top leaders on my Christmas list, although I have a feeling I’ll be purchasing a box before that!
* I was provided the sampler pack of RxBars free for review, but all amazing opinions and thoughts are my own.
